Transitional Yoga Program

Based in Boulder, Colorado, the Transitional Yoga Program was developed to expand classes currently being offered to incarcerated women. The Boulder County Jail, Yoga Impact, Give Back Yoga Foundation, the Yoga Workshop and Community Justice Services have teamed with  Certified Yoga Teachers currently providing classes within the jail and are now offering classes in the community to help women maintain the benefits that come with a regular yoga practice.

As the program is expanding, we are incorporating incentives for our students.  An initial donation of yoga mats was generously donated by a GaiamTV/Give Back Yoga partnership so that our participants can choose their own mat for home practice after completing 10 community classes.

On October 4, 2014 local studio owners and dedicated yoga instructors joined forces to bring connection to those who are locked inside their hearts, minds and bodies as well as inside a jail cell.
They raised $1,185!!!!

"Break into Jail" Fundraiser

January 25, 2014...

Saturday's weather was exceptionally warm and sunny; a perfect day for our "Break into Jail" Fundraiser.  A huge thank you to Studio Be Yoga for opening their space for this event and to all who attended.

Your generous donations helped us raise over $600.00.

Congratulations Megan

 Megan Mitchell
was our first participant to achieve her goal, and many other students are well on their way!
